This 262-acre theme park with a slogan of "The Thrill Capital of the World" in Valencia, California near Los Angeles has the most roller coasters of any other attraction in the world with a total of 18. Six Flags Magic Mountain opened in 1971 as Magic Mountain under the ownership of Newhall Land and Farming Company and was bought by Six Flags in 1979. It contains the nine themed areas of Baja Ridge, Colossus County Fair, Cyclone Bay, DC Universe, High Sierra Territory, The Movie District, Rapids Camp Crossing, Samurai Summit and Six Flags Plaza. The theme park's FULL THROTTLE ride was ranked by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2013 as the tallest roller coaster in the world.
