The most populated city in the Alberta province, Calgary has a bustling economy being second in the country only to Toronto for the number of business headquarters it contains. Calgary was established in 1875 and had been home to First Nations people for thousands of years. It became the first Canadian city to host the Winter Olympics in 1988. The city hosts an annual rodeo and festival called the Calgary Stampede that brings many tourists. Notable sites are Olympic Plaza, Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame and Museum, Glenbow Museum, Calgary Tower, Calgary Zoo, Heritage Park Historical Village, Devonian Gardens and Eau Claire Market.
